We can all get those sweet cravings but some desserts can just feel a little too on the heavy side. Whilst fruit is always a great option, it doesn’t always satisfy our appetite, sometimes we just need to get a little creative.
So who can this recipe benefit?
Well, most people! It’s quick and easy for those that don’t have time to make a more ambitious dish such as a raw cheesecake or our beetroot brownies.
Figs are high in fibre and therefore this can be the ideal snack for those who are watching their weight. This is because foods that are high in fibre can keep you feeling fuller for longer and curb your appetite.
I hope you enjoy this delicious sweet treat. It’s a great healthy treat for parties or events!
Pour some boiled water into a saucepan and place on a medium heat. Place a glass bowl over the top of the sauce pan and add the cacao butter, allowing it to melt.
Once the cacao butter has melted, take the bowl off the heat and place on the side. Add the cacao powder and honey and give it a stir.
Cut the figs into halves and lay them on a plate.
Dip the figs into the cacao mixture and then place back on the plate. If you want you can also dip the fig halves into almond butter or drizzle some on top.
Sprinkle the pistachio, apricot pieces and flowers over the top of the figs. Either leave on the side to set or enjoy whilst the cacao mixture is still runny (my fave!).
