They say there’s no place like home, and for us that is in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside.
We grew up in Yorkshire before venturing to London to pursue our dreams of building ARDERE. When we go home, we now treasure being able to escape the city to the quiet life of the countryside more than ever.
As we’ve grown up, we have gained more of an appreciation of the world around us. The simple things such as breathing in clean fresh air, being by some of the countries best walking trails and acknowledging the sounds of nature. One of the reasons for this new-found perspective is because modern day life can cause a lot of overwhelm, feelings of anxiety and stress and we see the need now, more than ever, to be mindful. It is important to slow down and to become present in the moment, which nature has the incredible power to do.
The Yorkshire Dales
Knowing all too well how scent can transport and elicit a positive emotional state, we decided to capture the feeling of home in the uplifting green scent of the British countryside. It is at home where your troubles melt away and where you can feel truly yourself and uplifted; this is the scent we have captured with The Dales. We recalled memories of countryside walks with our parents, passing blackberry-filled hedgerows and a freshness in the air; which can only be described through colour; for us this is green, the epitome of nature.
We invite you to escape to the heart of the Yorkshire Dales with our quintessentially British scent. Sentimental and nostalgic, notes of blackberry will evoke your love of the home, whilst the crisp verdancy of fig will transport you to the quaint rolling fields of Northern England.
