Reason 1: Our Ingredients

Our Ingredients – ARDERE candles use a blend of entirely natural waxes, eliminating their candles from the commonly-used paraffin wax (made from petroleum, a non-renewable resource) and gives off carcinogens (toluene and benzene) when lit. We were concerned not just about the harmful effects of paraffin on our health, but also on our planet.

Not only do most candles contain paraffin wax, their wicks also contain lead cores. ARDERE remains strong in its stance, ensuring our candles are devoid of these materials.

Reason 2: Packaging

ARDERE packaging uses FSC-approved paper, which means that we use materials that are committed to protecting the world’s forests.

What’s more, our cellophane wrap is made from an entirely biodegradable bio-plastic, which is made from plant fibres.

We are hugely passionate about the power of recycling and believe that this is a huge way forward when it comes to reducing our carbon footprint. This is why we encourage all of our customers to recycle their packaging and even their glass candle vessel when finished.
